The Wooden Radio has won numerous world wide design awards for it’s simplicity and ease of use. It’s beauty, also, can’t be denied. Finding and purchasing the Radio itself on the other hand, can be a bit of a chore. Depending on your location in the world, the site to purchase may be different – as might the price.

What won’t change is the look and feel of a piece of art you will have and that will resonate with you for years to come as a unique, workable piece of nostalgia and technological romance.

Each wooden radio is a single piece made by hand in 16 hours.

Each wooden radio is produced in ecological and social fair manner.

The sociologists Oliver Carlo Errichiello and Dr. Arnd Zschiesche are the people that stand behind the wooden radio brand.

It was in 2006 when Oliver discovered a single wooden radio at the Jakarta Fair. He wanted to take one home, but Singgih told him, that at first he needs to know about his opinion towards design and ecology. The following one year of discussion and getting to know each other (vie email and skype) had an enormous impact on us: We learned about producing a hand-crafted radio in a surrounding that is often known worldwide for mass production at doubtful conditions.
